I have some lung infection. To the best of my knowledge, I've never had a lung infection before. It reminds me of my dad. He had plenty of them before he died. he'd lay in hospital heaving under the oxygen mask, totally helpless, nothing he could do to get better. he'd been healthy all his life, but death of course, comes after illness. In order to die, unless one is injured in some way, then in order to die, one must get ill - one has to go through the agony of illness in order to die.

So now I'm sick and I'm frightened of the hospital and their incompetence.

But hopefully the doc will simply give me a magic pill (antibiotic) and I'll get better.

At least now we have a Labor government.

Alex Tue, 27 Nov 2007 02:15:00 -0500 http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162242 A New World Order begins http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162243 I'm coming down heavily from the win - not disappointed at all, just SOOO tired.

But a whole new world order begins. A brave new world.
Welcome to the 21st century, at last!

Alex Tue, 27 Nov 2007 02:05:41 -0500 http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162243 Federal Elections in Australia http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162244 Australia had an election for our Federal Government on Saturday - and I am extremely pleased to tell you that the right wing Bush loving govenrment of the past 11 years (run by the so-called 'Liberal' Party of Australia) lost the election.

The Labor Party has won. FANTASTIC!!!!!

Admittedly it is a very cautious Labor Party, much in the style of Blair in the UK - but it's a vast improvement on what we've had for the last 11 years.

Alex Sun, 25 Nov 2007 18:17:44 -0500 http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162244 Death of my father http://www.alexhoganstories.com/apps/blog/show/162245 SEPTEMBER 2007

MY FATHER

My father recently passed away - on 6th September, this year.
He was aged 80, so had a good long life, but he suffered terribly in his last years, from several things, mainly due to old age and his body giving out.

Miss you Dad...
